Spring first!

Isla took her very first dip in Barton springs today! She loved splashing her hands about and the cold didn't bother her one bit!

growing & blooming

all of our gutting, weeding, and autumn planting has really paid off. our spring garden is looking beautiful! our young climbing hydrangea & azalea are in peak bloom. all my perennials are coming back and growing well. maybe i have a green thumb after all.

strangers' smile

i was thrilled that our farmers market had such beautiful spring planting flowers so, in addition to buying apples for the week and dinner for tonight, i loaded my bike and bags with begonias, pansies, dahlias, and impatiens.

as we rode home through prospect park strangers kept smiling at me. who knew a basket full of beautiful blooms would make so many people happy! ah spring!

sunday brunch (without pics) and farmers market

brunch with the family at sheep station (minus andrea, plus J&F-basically family).

afterwards rob and i headed to the small farmers market on 5th avenue for groceries. i just love the feel, look, smell, sense of community, everything about the market. who doesn't though.

here are a few hipstamatic moments of our lovely spring day.
