Spring first!

Isla took her very first dip in Barton springs today! She loved splashing her hands about and the cold didn't bother her one bit!

Life's a picnic

austin in February reminds me that life is GOOD. we spent the entire day lounging in the shade, fishing, nature walking, and watching carrot learn to swim for her ball.

isla had her first swim lesson today and her destiny as an Olympic swimmer was revealed. she is a natural. we are proud.  

foodie?

on her four month birthday isla's big treat was boiled, smashed butternut squash mixed with breast milk. yum? 

we think she enjoyed the flavor but i'm  pretty sure she's not trading in the breast just yet. 

second food, avocado...

it looks like she would have preferred it with salt and hot sauce like momma and papa...
